I have a wide variety of interests and a boundless curiosity. :)

I originally started college with a major in Psychology and minor in Criminology (Upsala College Sussex, NJ) , then that evolved into a Network Engineering & Data Communications Degree from Chubb Institute Parsippany, NJ.

I worked as a Corporate IT Consultant in Morris and Bergen Counties NJ for 11 years. During that time I was a serious Photo Hobbyist earning a degree from New York Institute of Photography in Professional Photography. I also continued with a A.A Liberal Arts from Sussex County Community College.

For continuing education - I study Photography with Peters Valley Craft Center Layton, NJ, and the International Center for Photography in New York City. Both of these places allow my creativity to explode in different areas and I highly recommend them to any Photo Enthusiast.

I shoot with a digital SLR and 35mm films. I still love film. I love the feel of film and the process of films. My super geek IT background lends itself very well to Digital Photography though and with that I can create in a dry darkroom as well.

I have exhibited widely in the NY,NJ and PA areas and my photos have been regularly included in regional publications. While it is a fun kick to see your own photo in super big print in some glossy magazine, it is not the most important aspect of Photography for me.

Hands down, aside from having and raising my children, the most important thing I have ever done was to shoot a Photo Essay of a toddler with Cancer. I followed her for a couple months: at home, in-patient chemo, out-patient chemo, family BBQs, etc. In the end I used the prints for a fund raising exhibition for the family. I do not exhibit those photos because I promised the family I wouldn't. I have a select few prints in my home and in my silver print portfolio. The awesome power of what Photography can relay to its viewer, is in those photos. I am forever grateful to that family for allowing me to be so close as to document their most personal moments at such a trying time in their lives.

Along those same Photojournalistic lines, and a world apart, is Wedding Photography. The same power of the photo is there as well. The love, the jitters, the exhaustion, its all there. Each event is an adventure in the human experience and that......that is why I love shooting weddings.
